Singer and actress Ashley Tisdale will provide the musical entertainment at Friday's Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular, but part of her might be wishing she were out on the ice. "I've been a fan of skating and gymnastics since I was much younger. I wanted to do everything, so I ice skated for a little bit - never that well, though," Tisdale, the star of multiple Disney shows, said.

After a childhood acting in commercials and gradually picking up minor movie parts, Tisdale scored her first major role as Maddie Fitzpatrick in the Disney Channel's "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." From there, she rose to fame on her performance as Sharpay Evans in Disney's three "High School Musical" movies. Currently, she voices a character on the Disney Channel's animated series "Phineas & Ferb."

Tisdale credits her roles on "Suite Life" and in the "High School Musical" movies for boosting her career to where it is today. "Those shows took on a whole different life. It was insane, and the fans were pretty amazing," she said. "I think that going to Disney Channel was where I got the boost, because I'd been working in the business since I was 3." Now, she keeps busy balancing the several facets of her career-TV, music and movies.

Ashley Tisdale once had the incredible opportunity of meeting Michael Jackson, thanks to her "High School Musical" director Kenny Ortega, who also helmed "Michael Jackson's This Is It." But even having met the man in person, she was still blown away by seeing him up on the big screen doing what he does best: performing.  "It was so amazing. I mean, I was just so excited to see it, and it was just absolutely amazing," Tisdale told MTV News on Wednesday (October 28) after seeing the film at its world premiere in Los Angeles the night before. "It was so cool to see him and see how he works. I think he was completely ready to do it. I was just super excited to see a documentary about it, but it blew it all away."

The 24-year-old actress, seen in a green Free City hoodie, will be performing at the 2009 Progressive Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular on Friday, October 30th at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in rapid City, South Dakota.

She’s always been one to take her workout regimen very seriously, so it’s no wonder Ashley Tisdale is often spotted before or after her sweat session. Earlier today (October 26), the paparazzi caught up to the “Crank It Up” singer as she walked into her Hollywood, CA gym.

 After the gym, the 24-year-old must have something exciting in the works as her Twitter page reads, “Gym then meeting!!! Yaya!” And over the weekend, Ms Tisdale - joined by boyfriend, Scott Speer – stopped by Cinema Secrets Halloween to picks up some costumes and decorations.

Getting prepared for the upcoming holiday, Ashley Tisdale spent the day running around town with boyfriend Scott Speer in Toluca Lake on Saturday (October 24).The happy couple visited Cinema Secrets Halloween Headquarters store to pick up some costumes and decorations, leaving with a handful of purchases.

Obviously happy to be back in town with her hunky beau, Tizzie happily tweeted to her fans later in the evening, “goin out to celebrate!!!!” As previously reported by Gossip Center, Ashley is just returned from a trip to Scottsdale - where she performed as part of the opening of a new Microsoft store.

It was tough to envision The Hills and High School Musical in one sentence, but maybe one could be the grown-up version of the other.   Luckily, a recent report regarding of Ashley Tisdale and Stephanie Pratt has done the job of combining the two topics pretty well.

According to Disney Dreaming and MTV, Tisdale has been chosen by Pratt to portray her in the film version of Lauren Conrad's novel, LA Candy.  There's been news that the producers of Twilight have been tapped for the task, and casting has been the buzz since then.

When MTV talked to Hills star Stephanie Pratt this month (that is, before her DUI arrest), they asked her who she thought would be perfect for her character.

Fresh from a short break from work,  Ashley Tisdale was spotted earlier today (October 21) being dropped off at the Burbank Airport in Burbank, California. The “High School Musical” babe looked cute in a hobo-style top, short jeans shorts and some brown moccasins as she said goodbye to her mother.

Ms Tisdale is heading off to Arizona, where she’ll performing at tomorrow’s grand opening of the first ever Microsoft store in Scottsdale. Following in her footsteps is singer, Justin Bieber, who will be performing at the grand opening of the second store in Mission Viejo, CA on October 29th.

Earlier this year Microsoft announced it would open the company's first retail store in the fall. If you (like everyone else) assumed that "fall" meant October 22, aka Windows 7 day, then give yourself a pat on the back. At 10 a.m. this Thursday, Microsoft hits Fashion Square mall in Scottsdale, Arizona.

If you want gift bags and tickets to see Ashley Tisdale, arrive early. Tisdale is scheduled to perform at 5 p.m., so make sure you're out of there by 4 p.m. you get there early to get a good spot. Now, I don't have to ask how excited you are, because I just know all of our readers are huge Ashley Tisdale fans. I mean, I'm so stoked that I had to Google 'Ashley Tisdale' to find out who he/she was (she was in High School Musical 1, 2 and 3 in case any of my fellow ill-informed brethren are wondering).

The video above is said to be filmed live in Germany on the show Popstars yesterday, October 15th – however Ashley Tisdale’s hair is brown in the video, and we all know she dyed it back to blonde recently.

Also, Ashley attended the Latin MTV Video Music Awards yesterday and her hair is blonde there as well. Ashley does an amazing job performing in the video, we’re just not sure why they would make a point to say it was filmed live when it really wasn’t…Thoughts?

Stepping out for a night of music,  Ashley Tisdale was all smiles at the Los Premios MTV 2009 Latin America Awards in Universal City on Thursday (October 15).

Held at the Gibson Amphitheatre, the “Aliens in the Attic” actress looked cute in a little black dress as she posed for pictures on the red carpet before heading inside for the night’s festivities.

Not on-hand as a spectator, Tizzie is among the evening’s performers - as she’ll be playing her new tune “Crank It Up”.

The 24-year-old also happens to be among the nominees, as she’s up against Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift, McFly and The Veronicas for Favorite International Artist.
