Ashley Tisdale inadvertently helps Jimmy Fallon shave comedian Tim Meadows hair on The Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, airing TONIGHT!

The 24-year-old recently caught up with USA Today to talk about her new album, Guilty Pleasure.

She shared, “The subjects (of the songs) are a little bit more mature. There’s a lot of breakup songs, and then there are songs that are role-playing in a relationship, and innuendos like ‘I like what you do to my hair,’ so I think you know where that is going. As a young kid, you don’t listen to what they’re saying or what they’re singing about. You like the beat. You like the music.”

Ashley Tisdale sings into the mic during her Walmart Soundcheck sessions last month.The 24-year-old “How Do You Love Someone” singer shared about her album, “The album is called Guilty Pleasure. There are a lot of break-up songs on the album. But a lot of the songs were from past experiences that I had in relationships.

Ash continued, “When I was younger, if I was going through relationship problems, I would put on Kelly Clarkson; an angsty breakup song like ‘Since You’ve Been Gone.’ I felt so much better. So, I really wanted to do something just like that for my fans to share that with them. ‘It’s Alright, It’s Ok’ was one of those big anthem songs that make you feel so much better. It’s a strong song and I think the whole album has a sense of survival which is something I’m really attracted to.”

Ashley Tisdale, the actress who brought High School Musical's snobby bad-girl Sharpay Evans to life, steps outside the Disney fold this Friday, starring in Aliens in the Attic, her first post-HSM feature. And she's not stopping there: Tisdale's sophomore album, Guilty Pleasure, aimed at a more mature audience, hit shelves Tuesday.

In Aliens in the Attic, Tisdale plays college-bound high school student Bethany Pearson, whose family's vacation home in Michigan gets invaded by pint-sized aliens. She shot the film just before High School Musical 3, knowing it would be the first thing fans see after she finished the Disney trilogy.

The New Jersey native, 24, says she's taking her career to the next level but is in no rush to grow up or out of her niche. "I'm easing into it," she says.

If you go too far, that can kind of hurt you. So I just take baby steps. Once you're playing the older roles, you're there forever after that. You can never go backward. So I'm taking my time getting there.

Tisdale's role as Sharpay Evans, an over-the-top teenager who will stop at nothing to get what she wants in Disney's "High School Musical," has given her a huge following and altered Tisdale's life forever.
And the 24-year-old actress is expanding her career in new projects, including her role in movie "Aliens in the Attic," which debuts in U.S. theaters on Friday.

Tisdale continues to work in TV where "HSM" was a huge hit on the Disney Channel before becoming a movie, and she is even producing. Her singing has landed the actress a chart-topping recording career, and her second studio album, "Guilty Pleasures," comes out this week. On the downside, her growing popularity has meant Tisdale has a constant trail of paparazzi following her around.

Ashley Tisdale didn't really like kissing Zac Efron. You see she thought it was pretty gross when she had to kiss America's Teen Heartthrob when he made a cameo on Ashley's Disney show, "The Suite Life of Zach and Cody."

But if you think she's crazy for feeling this way, her reasoning for having such strong feelings about kissing Zac are viable.

She sees him as brother. Well, that seems fair enough. But, we kind of find it hard to believe that she wasn't too upset when she didn't have to kiss her "Aliens in the Attic" co-star, Robert Hoffman.

"Oh I actually didn't have to kiss Robert, thank god! No, I'm just joking," she told MTV News. "I did kiss Zac though. But that wasn't in 'High School Musical.' That was on 'Suite Life.' That was behind closed doors.

No, I'm just joking! That was disgusting actually. It was! He's my best friend and so he's like my brother and I've never been attracted to him cause he looked like he was 12 when I met him so…"

Ashley Tisdale has banned herself from watching horror movies. The High School School Musical actress says she can’t watch scary flicks because her over-active imagination has given her sleepless nights when she is home alone.

“I can’t watch scary movies right now, because living on my own, it kind of freaks me out,” she says. “I tend to just watch comedies. As an actress you think I would understand but I have a big imagination and it gets scary.”

Tisdale, 23, recently revealed details of her new tattoo. “I got a tattoo the other day. It says ‘Believe’ and has two stars. It’s something my mom has always told me  just to believe.

It’s not anywhere naughty though,” she said. “It’s on my back. In the middle on the left.” It has been claimed that Tisdale has fallen out with pal Vanessa Hudgens.
