She has just broken up with her boyfriend of the last two years. And it looks like Ashley Tisdale was using a tried and tested method to get over her split from Scott Speer - retail therapy. The glamorous High School Musical star was joined by her mother as she went on a splurge in Beverly Hills today.

And the 26-year-old made sure she let her music video ex know just what he is missing by donning a somewhat racy ensemble for a spot of shopping. The Aliens in the Attic favourite showed off her perfect pins in a black leather short skirt and eye-catching red boots as she visited upmarket stores Chanel and Blue Planet.

And her enviable curves were also on display thanks to a tight-fitting black and white hooped top. It could be argued her mother Lisa had pushed the fashion boat out just a little far by wearing a garish purple knitted top and leggings, with black Uggs-style boots topping off the outfit.

Ashley briefly perked up when she spoke on the phone, and was perhaps having a brief chat with her former love. It would not be a surprise if they had a surprise reunion, as a source close to the star said they had a very inconsistent relationship. A source close to the star said: 'They had been on and off for a while. They tried to work it out but realised their relationship ran its course. However the Mayor of Oyster Bay star looked rather glum at the end of her spree, so this is probably not the case. Prior to their split Speer directed five of Ashley's music videos, including He Said She Said, Not Like That and Suddenly.

Ashley Tisdale is back on the single market. The Disney songstress, who became known for her role as Sharpay Evans in the first three "High School Musical" movies, has called it quits with her boyfriend, music video director Scott Speer, after more than two years of dating.

The 26-year-old's split from Scott doesn't appear to be a shocking news for those close to them. "They had been on and off for a while," one source told Us Weekly. "They tried to work it out but realized their relationship ran its course." It was not explained though what might have caused the pair to end their romance.

Ashley started dating Scott in the spring of 2009 shortly after she broke up with V Factory band member Jared Murillo. Prior to the split, she and her 29-year-old boyfriend worked together on some of her music videos, including "He Said She Said", "Not Like That", "Suddenly", "It's Alright, It's OK" and "Crank It Up".

Ashley and Scott were last spotted together in public a few days after Thanksgiving as they grabbed some coffee. A few days before news of the break-up came out, the Savannah Monroe of "Hellcats" posted a cryptic message on her Twitter. "What goes around comes back around," so she wrote.

Ashley Tisdale has apparently decided to switch things up a little bit this holiday season. The High School Musical beauty was seen leaving the Byron & Tracey in Beverly Hills, CA, Tuesday afternoon, with a new, noticeably darker, hairdo. Dressed in workout gear (and a Prada bag, of course), Ashley smiled for the paparazzi as she showed off her darker roots, which she accentuated with some highlights. We know December in Los Angeles is nothing like our east coast winter, but we still think Ashely Tisdale was brave to rock these super short shorts Monday night.

Tisdale arrived at LA's Staples Center for a night of head bobbing at Jay-Z and Kanye West's "Watch The Throne" tour concert. But Tisdale isn't the first to celebrity to ditch a pair of pants in favor of something a little more revealing. From Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens to Eva Longoria and Christina Aguilera, "pants optional" seems to be totally normal in La-La-Land.

On December 6th, she tweeted a photo of her fireplace, TV and Christmas tree and said, “After a nice long day of work I’m cuddling next to the fire watching Last Man Standing”. Ashley Tisdale tucks a piece of hair behind her ear after visiting Andy LeCompte Salon in Beverly Hills, Calif. The 26-year-old actress recently chatted with her fave boutique, Planet Blue, about her holiday must-haves and dished about her travel plans and stocking.

“My stocking is the same one that I got when I was 7. It’s a HUGE Minnie Mouse stocking so it holds a lot of stocking stuffers ;),” Ash shared. She added about any kind of travel plans, “I don’t like to travel much around Christmas- I love being home with family because you have your Christmas trees and traditions that we always love to do!”

Meanwhile, Ashley has joined forces with Planet Blue to reveal her Christmas traditions just in time for the holiday season. Tizzie shared, “My family loves to make these Christmas cookies that have been handed down from my great grandma, to my grandma, and now my mom. My grandma still makes us a batch and sends them from Florida, but my mom also makes them because we run out so quickly :)”

Sporting skeleton hoodie, Tis held hands with her (super tall) boyfriend as they enjoyed an afternoon stroll together.

Meanwhile, Ashley’s BFF, Vanessa Hudgens, was spotted out on a romantic beach date with new beau Austin Butler this weekend. V-Hud and Austin got all lovey-dovey at Venice Beach on Saturday. The couple rode bikes and packed on serious PDA at the parking lot. At one point, Austin was spotted grabbing Vanessa’s booty. Cheeky bugger!

The 26-year-old actress tweeted her plans for Thanksgiving this year, saying, “Headed to the bay area for thanksgiving with my man and family! I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving!!! #sothankfulthisyear” Ash also posted a video of something she likes to do EVERY Thanksgiving! Ashley Tisdale takes a phone call as she runs a few errands in Los Angeles. The 26-year-old actress, toting her new Celine purse, just inked another deal with Disney Channel. The project, called Adventure Quest comes from writer Jennifer Derwingson, agraduate of the Disney/ABC writing fellowship program, according to Variety. Ashley and business partner Jessica Rhoades will executive produce the project. Earlier last week, Ashley was spotted at the Breaking Dawn premiere.
