Actress Ashley Tisdale is reportedly set to star in a spin-off from High School Musical called Sharpay's Fabulous Adventures. The 24-year-old is set to reprise her role as Sharpay Evans in the new spin-off film for the Disney Channel, according to US reports.
A rep for the star said to JustJared.com that she will take on the lead role in the film as well as being an executive producer. The movie is set to be released in 2011 and will start filming later this year. The last High School Musical hit cinemas two years ago - and the fourth film is still subject to rumours.
Talking in 2008, Tisdale said: 'We don't really know anything about HSM 4, actually. It's flattering to leave the door open for a character, so that's really awesome. 'I'm just kind of looking forward to other projects as well. It's something that we've always loved to do... and [we're looking forward to] growing in our careers and looking ahead.'
